Angela Brown first joined the DC Rape Crisis Center in April 2019 as a Support Advocate, and is honored to fulfill the role as the Advocacy Services Coordinator. Angela was born and raised in Washington DC, she attended Howard University, and received her B.A in Afro American studies and Philosophy. Throughout her adult life Angela has understood that intersectionality can impact every aspect of life. Knowing this Angela has provided comprehensive support that focuses on dismantling victim blaming. Angela values sharing unique self-care activities, and resources for survivors so they can make empowered decisions for their desired healing, and justice.
