Thank you for your interest in investing in the DC Rape Crisis Center’s critical work! Community support at every giving level makes our work possible.

The Center takes a three-pronged approach to creating a world without sexual violence:

1. Community Education: The Center educates thousands of adults, children, and professionals about sexual violence and the availability of the Center’s services, helping to prevent future sexual violence.
2. Direct Services: The Center provides counseling and advocacy services to adult and child survivors of sexual violence and their families.
3. Coalition Work: The Center’s coalition work helps ensure a coordinated response to survivors of sexual violence, and to raise awareness about sexual violence in our community.

Here is how your generous support can help us continue to provide these services:

• $37 provides sexual abuse prevention materials for 100 school children
• $46 covers the cost of an hour of individual counseling;
• $105 will help operate the crisis hotline for a full 24 hours;
• $540 covers the cost of individual counseling for one adult survivor for three months;
• $1,000 covers the cost of counseling for a child and her/his family for 6 months;
• $2,300 covers the cost of a self-defense support group
