Monthly Client Gatherings (Last Friday of Every Month)
| Description: | The DC Rape Crisis Center hosts monthly client gatherings for female and female-identified survivors of childhood sexual abuse and adult sexual assault. These happen on the last Friday of every month. These are not support groups, but rather an informal way for survivors of sexual abuse to come together to talk about topics that are not traditionally discussed in support groups. August 26, 2011 is the next gathering, and will feature a screening of "Eat, Pray and Love." On September 30, 2011, DCRCC will be holding a focus group relating to experiences that survivors have had with the police. You must register for this event. The gatherings will be held at The Lighthouse Center for Healing, 5321 First Place, NE, Washington, DC 20011. The Lighthouse Center for Healing is Metro accessible and there is also free parking available. |
